Conceived by La Cinémathèque Française and presented in the spring of 2013, the Jacques Demy exhibition will combine excerpts from his films with photographs, paintings, drawings and sculptures created by the artist himself as well as by artists whose influence he proclaimed (Jean Cocteau, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Raoul Dufy, Niki de Saint-Phalle).
Both spectacular and intimate, the exhibition will immerse the visitor in a colorful, musical universe!
The exhibition will combine film excerpts with photographs, paintings, drawings, and sculptures created by the artists whose influence Demy proclaimed (Jean Cocteau, David Hockney, Raoul Dufy, Leonor Fini). It will propose a crossing of this colourful Demy-monde, which is a real continent all to itself.
