“Song Of Los” has a delicious choral harmony, set against a backdrop of ear-melting bass. It creates the overall effect of walking along an abandoned beach at midnight — stars twinkling overhead, waves crashing against your feet.
It makes sense that the song (and album as a whole) is so emotional, ethereal, and vast. The Devil’s Walk was conceived during a trip to a tiny Mexican village.
For those of you familiar with Apparat’s older work, you’ll notice that he has changed musical styles to pursue ambient music, rather than beats and dance music. We love it!
