The X Factor: Could Johnny Robinson be more excited? No, we don’t think so. Last week he was stepping onto the stage to take on one of his idol’s biggest songs: Can’t Get You Outta My Head.
He even learned how to Tweet to send Kylie Minogue a message on Twitter…
Robinson, in Louis Walsh’s Overs category, was dressed in a kimono during his Japanese inspired performance. His performance left the judges divided with Tulisa calling Robinson her “cup of tea”, whilst judge and Take That star Gary Barlow was left “feeling sad”, saying he wanted his mentor Louis Walsh to not “make him a joke” to the rest of the nation.
By the way, after Johnny Robinson’s performance, Pop princess Kylie Minogue whose sister Dannii used to be a judge on the reality talent show has tweeted her reaction to X Factor contestant: « “OMG!!!!!!” »
Increasingly impressed with Robinson she added: ‘Bring it’. ‘Oooooh GO Johnny!!!!!’
Kylie then later messaged him to say ‘u HIT those high notes’ in reply to a tweet in which Johnny revealed his performance would be a ‘mixture of Quentin Tarantino and mikado’.
Johnny – unable to believe his eyes – then took the opportunity to try his luck for a coffee date: ‘OMG thank you Kylie 4 ur kind comments it means so much!! would LOVE to have a cuppa, a biccie and a girlie chat with you!!!’, he replied.
The controversial performer also had Gary Barlow in fits of laughter after the judge compared Johnny’s oriental look to Aladdin. Johnny quipped back: ‘You can rub my lamp any time Gary!’
Go, Johnny!
