Massive attack set in Paris for JR’s show opening

[wide][/wide] In Paris, on November 19th, the exhibition opened with a huge crowd and a live set by Massive Attack. Not only was the entire courtyard of the gallery packed, people from the buildings around the gallery also enjoyed the music and scene.

JR has made a strong name for himself these recent years, not only because of his incredible artworks, but more importantly because of the way he uses them to make statements about society around the globe and the impact his work has had on local communities.

As the art community in Paris buzzing about the opening of french artist JR’s latest exhibition “Encrages” at Galerie Perrotin those who chose to brave the crowds on the opening night were greeted by a live set from non other then Massive Attack. As the Galerie Perrotin’s courtyard filled neighboring windows and building were themselves engulfed by the improptu concert that elevated JR’s opening infinitely. Definitely looks and sounds like a very surreal night.
