[/wide] The High Line is a public park built on an historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. This is about a 2-mile strip of greenery, funky benches, art installations, and views that show you the city like you’ve never seen it before. You can sit and watch the sun set over the Hudson River, check out the art that street vendors have displayed along the walkway, or grab food and have a bench-side picnic.
Even with tourists, it somehow feels private, like a secret garden or something, and gives you a vantage point of NYC like no other.
