After long wait, Oakley comes out with its Airwave Goggles. Arriving in time for the snowboarding/skiing season. Apart from Oakley’s signature style, polarized lenses, and graphic head strap, the Oakley Airwave makes use of the latest HUD technology from Recon Instrument — giving riders an in-depth reading of information including distance, airtime, temperature, speed and altitude.
Not satisfied to stop there, Oakley also integrated Bluetooth connectivity technology to display incoming calls, texts, and music as well as GPS locator so you can keep tabs on your buddies for a one-gadget-does-all experience that minimizes your gloves-off time. Pretty cool!
As this technology is still rather new to the market, the price is set at a considerable amount, retailing for 620€. The Oakley Airwaves will be available at Oakley retailers, oakley.com and apple.com.
Do Oakley’s Airwave goggles seem like something that could make their way onto your Christmas wish list?
