It’s all about going back to the roots – traditional shapes, pattern and fabrics! Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana founded luxury fashion label Dolce & Gabbana in 1982.
Under their influence, the brand’s inherently sexy and adventurous designs have shaped Dolce & Gabbana into a globally renowned label. The designing duo has translated the fashion house’s unique point of view into the world of scents with a much-loved Dolce & Gabbana Fragrance collection.
Designer duo Dolce & Gabbana launched their first perfume for men in 1994: Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme was born. This year, the designers have decided to “return to the roots” and to re-launch the fragrance.
“It’s not so much a reedition as it is a fine-tuning,” said Gabbana. “We altered the bottles a bit.…There has been an evolution [of the brand] since the Nineties, Domenico and I were much younger then — we’ve really matured a lot.”
The advertising campaign has been shot by Mario Testino in Sicily with famous model Noah Mills.
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme is a fragrance that hints at a variety of personas: there’s luxury in the notes of neroli, cardamom and iris; there’s casual in the mandarin, cardamom and cedarwood; and there’s masculinity in the bergamot, pepper and cumarin. And this elaborate layering of fresh flora and wood on top of notes of citrus gives Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme a sophisticated, out-of-the-ordinary texture.
This fragrance has all the engaging complexities of a cologne sophisticated enough for a night on the town, yet also all the subtleties and reserve for a day at the office.
In this cologne, you get both a cologne and a brand that you appreciate and you want to wear.
