Ethereal, DIOR HOMME SS13

[wide]Beyond publically acclaimed catwalks, a successful collection is to be considered on its own. Especially when it comes to DIOR HOMME and Kris Van Assche, the creative mind sealing each detail.

Or to be considered in the video you are about to watch. Willy Vanderperre exalts all the perfection of the DIOR HOMME SS 2013 state of mind. It is called “Underpass” and features models Janis Ancens and Ben Allen.[/wide] Could be that two young urban men confront one another under a rock solid set. Through light movements, as ethereal as the air, young professionals contemplate, communicate, fall apart and stand-up.

Our own interpretation is the one of a contemporary psychedelic marvel.

The collection is called “Light” and the starting point is the blazer.

This timeless piece that Kris Van Assche brought forward to all its forms. Single or double breasted, sleeveless, long or short, with drawstrings also, but always fitted.

The fabrics weigh light, like broadclothe and techno-mesh do. The silhouette is soft and the allure is linear.

The colors are luminous. Blue and light grey are dominant but red acts as a rebellious note in full or in details like the shoelaces of blue derbies.

There is an impression of neo-sartorial in the air.
