Foals – Late Night

[wide][/wide] British rock band Foals released a new video for the single “Late Night” taken from their latest album Holy Fire.

The video directed by Nabil Elderkin, is a dark visual with bloody scenes and drama. Sex, suffering, and suicide… The band plays (with a heavily nosebleeding Yannis Philippakis) in a dingy, smoke-filled, Romanian hotel night club and stars the usual suspects..

The video appears to draw a connection between sexual desire, birth, death, and human weakness as exemplified by the sweaty, greasy alcoholic who essentially acts as the main character.

Bloody, unhinged, and depraved video, sinister to say at least but I’m crazy about the song, ranging from the uptempo funk to soaring pop.
