Saint Laurent debuts it’s new ‘Music’ project today featuring music icons including Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon and Ariel Pink, photographed by Hedi Slimane.
It’s a love affair Saint Laurent has held since 1971, when Yves styled Mick and Bianca Jagger for their St Tropez wedding.
Slimane is at the heart of the scene himself, having designed stage outfits in the late 90s at Saint Laurent and in the 2000’s for Dior, for the likes of David Bowie and Mick Jagger to The Libertines, The Kills and Franz Ferdinand.
The models styled themselves in Saint Laurent pieces past and present.
The Music Project will also see original soundtracks created for the upcoming SL shows, with contributors so far including Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees and Daft Punk.
And so the rock and roll love affair continues – we can’t wait to see who’s next in front of Slimane’s lense.
