The Weeknd – Earned It (Fifty Shades Of Grey)

[wide][/wide] The movie adaptation of the novel Fifty Shades Of Grey comes out on Valentine’s Day, and the Weeknd contributed the song “Earned It (Fifty Shades Of Grey)” to its soundtrack, which might be the most on-the-nose thing Abel Tesfaye has ever done.
The very NSFW new “Earned It” music video has that same chilly porn-at-a-remove aesthetic that the movie seems to have. It has Tesfaye singing in an empty theater as a troupe of nearly-identical burlesque dancers put on a show behind him. It also has Fifty Shades star Dakota Johnson — Don’s daughter! — stripped and tied up. Somehow, despite dripping with all these sex signifiers, the video comes across way more mechanical than sexy. Maybe that’s the point? Either way, you can watch it!
