Lukas Dhont wins Grand Prix at Cannes for Close

Building on the success of his film Girl (released in 2018), filmmaker Lukas Dhont has received the Grand Prix at the recent Cannes Film Festival for Close.

Close is a story about two young boys whose friendship comes to an abrupt end – exploring themes of loss of innocence and the putting away of childish things.

The film stars Eden Dambrine as Léo, a 13-year-old boy who lives in a rustic idyll with his best friend Rémi (Gustav De Waele).
