Janet Returns to Her Roots on New Song: ‘No Sleeep’

[wide][/wide] Janet is back. Seven years since her last album, the pop icon returns with her new single “No Sleeep.” Produced by longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the sultry jam finds Janet in fine form and ready to go all night.
“Day and night, I dream of us doing whatever / But I guess I’ll have to wait until that day comes,” she coos.
Janet Jackson has a new album coming rumored to be titled Conversations in a Cafe, due this fall on Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.. And she’s going on tour in the USA. Page Six is reporting that she might show up at the BET Awards next weekend.

Listen to Ms. Jackson’s comeback record below. A full song. A SLOW JAM! And it feels like the 90s. Good like the 90s. Good like she’s not trying to smash you in the face with how she can keep up, how she’s still relevant.

She’s Janet. She’s Miss Jackson. She doesn’t have to. It’s exactly the right sound at exactly the right time. Doesn’t that beat just make you want to start rubbing your hips against someone else’s hips?
