Beirut – Santa Fe

[wide][/wide] The music video for Beirut’s sunny, Magnetic Fields-indebted single “Santa Fe” released last month is sad, funny and odd, like something out of a Fellini movie.
The Sunset Television-directed clip is sort of a homage to frontman Zach Condon’s hometown. It involves a bizarrely emotional dealing, ranging from junk-food-loving dogs, baptisms at sea, stealing people’s purses, and a rather unusual exploration of love.
Watch the curious clip and check out The Ripe Tide, Beirut’s latest album, if you haven’t yet.
