Collaborations are always great as the ideas of two creative minds mesh to make one awesome product: the French renowned watch maker Hublot and the legendary English alternative rock band Depeche Mode teamed up to attack the water crisis around the world with a limited-edition version of the former’s Big Bang timepiece.
Limited to 250 pieces, the collaboration is an effort to benefit charity: water, an organization committed to providing clean drinking water to the approximately 800 million people living without it.
The Big Bang watch is a stunning black porcelain design with a black heat-moulded calfskin band. The sapphire crystal covers the interior that is made up of 257 components and a power reserve of 42 hours.
The case back is signatured with “Depeche Mode” and “Charity: water”. A rectangular window on the dial displays the date.
This unique initiative is part of the Depeche Mode 2014 Delta Machine Tour. The Big Bang Depeche Mode will be launched with an international advertising campaign, with portions of the proceeds going directly to “charity: water.”
